Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.
Your Account
To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You can create an account using email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with anyone else.
- Notify us immediately at hello@grubplanit.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
Our website and mobile application are made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our website or mobile application (together or individually, the "Site"), or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.
Our Site is only for users in the United States
Our Site is directed to people residing in the United States. We do not represent that content available on or through our Site is appropriate for use or available in other locations.
Due to the global nature of the internet, our Site may be accessed by users in countries other than the United States. If it is illegal or prohibited in your country of origin to access or use our Site, then you should not do so. Those who choose to access our Site outside the United States do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with all local laws and regulations.
The Service
GrubPlanit provides an AI-powered meal decision app, including curated recipes, smart search, and the ability to discover restaurants nearby through our "Order it" feature. Features available at any time may change without notice. We may add, modify, or remove features or content at our discretion. Where our Site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources and we make no representations or warranties about third party sites or any of their content, products, services, communications and website use policies.
We do not guarantee that our Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programs and platform to access our Site. You should use your own virus protection software.
You must not misuse our Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our Site, the server on which our Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our Site. You must not attack our Site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offense under the applicable law.
We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our Site will cease immediately.
3.1 Recipes and content
Recipes, images, descriptions, drink pairings, and other content provided through the Service are for personal, non-commercial use. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but we do not warrant that recipes are free of errors, suitable for your specific dietary needs, or safe for individuals with allergies, medical conditions, or other restrictions. Always check ingredients and consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
3.2 Order it (restaurant discovery)
The "Order it" feature surfaces local restaurants serving similar dishes using third-party data (currently Google Places). We do not operate these restaurants, take orders, or process payments on their behalf. Any transaction you complete with a restaurant is solely between you and that restaurant. We are not responsible for the availability, quality, pricing, or accuracy of restaurant information returned by third-party providers.
3.3 Pricing
The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or in-app purchases in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and you will only be charged after you affirmatively opt in. Existing free features will remain free for as long as they are designated as such, except where we discontinue them.
Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree NOT to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation or interfere with other users.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except as permitted by law.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or copy content from the Service without our written permission.
- Upload, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or infringing on others' rights.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or any other user's account.
User Content
If you share recipes, ratings, comments, photos, or any other content through the Service ("User Content"), you remain the owner of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant GrubPlanit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that User Content in connection with operating and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party. We may, but are not obligated to, review User Content and may remove any content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided through the Service — including recipes, photographs, text, graphics, logos, videos, and software — are owned by GrubPlanit or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. GrubPlanit may terminate such limited license at any time without your approval and without any liability.
"GrubPlanit", the GrubPlanit logo, and other product names and marks are trademarks of GrubPlanit, LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (for example, Apple, Google, Google Places, restaurants located by the "Order it" feature, and any future delivery partners). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF CONTENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Recipes and nutritional information are provided for informational purposes and are not medical, dietary, or health advice. In no event will our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100). You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GrubPlanit, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if your use poses a risk to GrubPlanit or other users, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately, but the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13) will continue in effect.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Where required by applicable law, you may have additional rights, including the right to bring a claim in your local court. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
App Store Terms
If you download the Service from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge:
- These Terms are between you and GrubPlanit, not Apple or Google.
- Apple or Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
- In the event of a failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple or Google for a refund of the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Apple nor Google will have any other warranty obligation.
- Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GrubPlanit regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
