Instructions
1
Prep
Cut potato into wedges and slice bell pepper and onion. Split the pizza roll lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
2
Fry
Heat half the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry potato wedges for 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until crisp and tender.
3
Saute
Push potatoes to one side, add remaining oil and vegetables to the skillet over medium heat. Saute for 5 minutes until onion softens and browns lightly.
4
Grill
In a separate small pan over medium-high heat, grill the beef hot dog for 5 to 6 minutes, turning often, until the casing blisters and browns deeply.
5
Build
Nestle the grilled hot dog into the split roll, then pile fried potatoes, peppers and onion on top and around it quickly.
6
Finish
Sprinkle dried oregano and red wine vinegar over the filling. Season with salt and black pepper and press the roll closed.
7
Plate
Wrap the sandwich in parchment or foil for a few seconds to settle flavors, then serve warm, halved if desired.
