Rice with Toasted Vermicelli

Basmati rice pilaf toasted with broken vermicelli noodles in butter until golden, then simmered in seasoned vegetable stock until fluffy. A staple across Levantine and Gulf tables, it carries a nutty, buttery aroma and light char from the toasted noodles, served alongside stews, roasted vegetables, or yogurt.

Instructions

1

3
Saute Add the diced onion to the pan and sauté over medium heat 2 minutes until softened and translucent, then stir in the drained rice to coat.
4
