Mince 4 garlic cloves. Divide 300g white fish into 2 portions. Combine each portion with minced garlic, 2 tbsp lime juice, 0.5 tsp thyme, 0.5 tsp allspice, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate 10 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Place both marinated fish portions in the pan, cook 4–5 minutes undisturbed until the undersides are lightly golden and flaky.
